ECO Funnel® is the original screw-on safety funnel with a lid for laboratory waste disposal. This
ECO funnel is designed to fit a 5 gallon drum with Rieke FS-70 (70mm NPS, 8TPI) closure, also
called an FS70 or FS80. Patented funnel design features a latching lid with gasket to keep fumes
contained. A removable large particle filter catches stir bars or other items. A detachable tube extends
into the waste container to minimize chemical evaporation. Features include additional safety
mechanism to prevent over-filling and secondary air-lock tube that creates a small air gap in waste
container, which causes fluid to back up temporarily into the funnel when the container is full. After
the screw cap adapter is loosened, the remaining fluid will safely flow into the container and not
spill. Funnel prevents emissions of 99.9% of volatile waste solvents, acids, and bases in the laboratory.
