EZCap FoilStrips offer an economical and user-friendly alternative to sealing PCR strip caps and PCR plate sealing. FoilStrips offer excellent chemical resistance (ie DMSO) and are ideal for long term storage, light sensitive assays and robotics. Convenient strips allow selective sample row covering, prevent accidental pipetting, or reseal rows that have been pierced.
Sheets contain 2 mil thick aluminum foil in pre-cut strips or 6 with backing liner for convenient use. Foil conforms quickly and allows visual verification of secure well seal. Pierceable with pipet tip or robotic prove for direct sample recovery. Specially formulated adhesive provides an excellent seal and minimizes evaporation, reduces cross-contamination and prevents spillage. Film removes easily and cleanly from plate surfaces. Sheets feature two removable end tabs with perforations for easy handling, application and removal. FilmStrips remove easily and cleanly with no splash back as can occur with strip-caps.
